This can be hard to define
He is there to love you
Also keeps you in line
He takes you to the football
The baths and pictures too
Buys you loads of presents
And praises the things you do right
He says you're such a clever boy!
When homework is on time
He pulls faces behind your mother's back
Does stupid things with mime,
Brags to all about you
Each moment of the day
He carries you on his shoulders
Let's you go out to play
He shout when you're naughty
Complains about your mess
This is what a father is
Sometimes he is a pain
But when you need a helping hand
He is there time and time again
We've wider roads, but narrow minds
More money now, but we're far less kind
The buildings 're taller but our tempers are shorter
We've polluted the world and we drink bottled water
Today...
We love too slow and hate too fast
The gulf between rich and poor is vast
We can e-mail a message across the globe
But ignore the old poor people across the globe
They spend millions trying to conquer space
Instead of conquering prejudice, hate and poverty
We chat and text from our mobile phones
Then sit in silence in our homes
Watching disgusting and outrageous living condition of other people of the world
We've more experts but less common sense
We developed ammunitions to kill ourselves
We spend millions on fruitless ventures while millions are living in complete poverty.
Our sense of humour, sympathy and concern about other people is gone
Absolutely gone!
Criminals reassured of a lenient sentence
If only they could see that love is the way
There would be peace and understanding in this world today.
I cherish education
Because it gives one the audacity
To challenge the "unchallengables"
To suppress the "unsuppressables"...
When you re young...
Just like four, five years old
Informal education crawls in and you start learning things
Your parents shouts at you...
Go there!!! Come here!!! Bring it!!!
They want you to be ok
They want you to learn as fast as possible
I love education...
The moment you start schooling
You formal education comes around
And you start learning in other forms
Meeting new people and making new friends
School is different from home
You may not even wish to go home after school hours
You just stay behind and alive with your friends...
I love education
Simply because it opens ones eyes to the world around
And windows of opportunity come after
Being literate is different from being educated
And being educated is different from being rich...
Being educated does not mean being rich
But after all you live a comfortable and pleased life
You may not get job on time...
But when there is vacancy they'll employ illiterate.
I love education...
Because educated person reason differently
Because they have got cool head.
They behave differently
Because they could see beyond their nose
They talk, speak gently
Because they've got the confidence in them
They dress smartly
Because it's the part of what they learnt
They look nicely
Because it's the culture of education
You may not be rich or born with silver spoon in your mouth
But once you re educated, you ve got everything in life
Because being rich without education
Is comparable to being living without blood
Ask me why...?
And I'll say it keeps you going...
I LOVE EDUCATION...!
Or you re trying to embark on "shortcut"
And still all seem dark?
Are you tired of this world?
You ve tried all
And eventually come back to square one
Even worse than before
Are you thinking of giving up
Because you could not get the hands of things
Are you afraid of keeping the flag flying?
Thinking your flag may tear apart
Never!
Dont quit struggling
And never say good bye to trials
Remembering that it is he who fight till the end

Some people have done it before you
It even took many longer time that yours
Some even didnt move closer to where you are,
They made their ways through in spite of difficulties
I implore you to keep it up
And continue going in spite of all odds
Nelson Mandela of South Africa has suffered even more than you
Martin Luther King once suffered even more than this
When fighting for freedom for African-American
But with determination they all achieved most if not all their aims.
Never forget that to be a man is not a day job
For Rome wan not built in a day
If it can take God seven days to create heaven and earth
Then why not you?
Miss up with people, share your thoughts and never attempt to give up

Our world today has been changed
Changed for worse I think...
Because no one does things for the sake of love

And I see nothing but love for money...
Brother raises up sword against his brother
while families hate each other just for money
Nations waged war against nations just for money
Leaders even kill themselves because of money
No friends when it comes to money matter
Otherwise you might end up loosing you soul...
Many leaders have turned to another person
Just because money has taken over their soul
And they've got no care for the masses
Who sacrifice their lives for them
Are these people crazy...?
Are they out of they senses...?
They re making money not for themselves
But for other people....
Forgetting the fact that we came alone (with nothing) to this world
And we shall never return with something...!
What is the essence of all your houses...?
For you can't live in two at the same time...!
Even in a house...
Can you sleep on two beds at a time...?
Can you travel in two cars at a time...?
Then while taking people's money...?
Why waging war against others because of money...?
Why killing your brother for money sake...?
Never forget that this world is very simple...
You came here with nothing...
And you shall return with nothing...

Please help the homeless

Friends are like honey
They sweeten you heart

They never mind where you started your friendship
Never remember whatever good
You have once done for them
Friends are like catalyst
They speed up the rate at which you re going
They multiply your happiness and divide your sorrow
Never mind whatever it takes them
They are ready to be there for you.
Friends are like snails
They keep their heads inside their shell
They refused to reach out to their friends
Never mind if their friends really need them

The jangling discords of our nation
Into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood

To religion violence, bad administration
Put an end to corruption, poverty, unemployment
And unanimously eliminate all the hungry politicians
Who are the main enemies of progress in Nigeria
With this faith
We will be able to have a true Federation
Where people from the North
Could be peacefully working and residing in South
Where people from South
Could be free from the fear of ethnic clash while in North
Where Nigerians will see themselves as one
With this faith
I am cock-sure, with gradual process
Nigerians shall all come together once again
And celebrate with cheers and thank God
After the elimination of all I-don't-care, corrupt and hungry politicians

Money is the saviour
Deception is embraced
Honesty can kill
In our world today
Hungry politicians are ruling
The president is sleeping
And hangs a "do not disturb" sign
Just by his door
In our world today
No one dares challenge
The power that be
And everyone knows
That silence is precious.

I continue to wonder
Where this world has gone
The world that we once knew
Where everyone had self-respect
And rendered their sense of humour
Gone are the days
When people of the world
See themselves as one
As brothers and sisters
And never mind where you come from
Or your ethnic backgrounds
Be you African, Caribbean, Asian, European etc
People around you are ready
To lend a helping hand
Without looking back
But our world today
Is such a sad place to be
Where nobody cares
And they go their own way
Never mind perhaps other people are okay
Our leaders are no more our friends
They turn their deaf ears
To all our yarnings
And our well-being in not their priority anymore
They make use of "big lies"
To achieve their political ambitions
Who cares in our world today?
Where brothers kill brothers
Where sisters kill sisters
Where fathers turn against their families
Where bullying, racist chants are always employed
Who cares in this world?
Where neighbours see themselves as enemies
Where teenagers misbehave to elderly ones
Where self-centeredness is paramount
Where killings had pervaded the land
Can anyone tells me
Who cares in this world?

Where the people of the world will see themselves as one

People of the world shall all come together once again
And celebrate with cheers and thank God
